' V -. i ..Today The Telegram completed ar- ( rangements with the Utah Savings and I Trust company,' by which that banking house will have sole charge of the contest con-test up to December 23. on which date a committee of five "persons selected by the piano contestants will take charge-ot charge-ot the contest and decide to whom the piano is to be awarded. ' -v Under this arrangement an absolutely fair-contest Is assured and" the girl who secures the largest number .of votes will get'the fine piano. - - - - - The plan wllL be carried out as fol-1 fol-1 lows: . ' Tomorrow' two large ballot boxes, locked and sealed, will be placed in the office of the Utah Savings and Trust company, 160 South Main. The key to - these boxes wll be turned over to the Trust company. In the box will be placed the standing of each of the can- ' dldates at the close of November 30. All ballots, beginning with tomorrow, roust be deposited : In these boxes. It I will be -required that ballot be placed in a sealed envelope, and en the outside of -the, envelope the- number of ballots and for. whom they are cast must be written. . Candidates and their- friends may call at the Utah Savings and Trust company and deposit their ballots. -The following conditions will' govern the contest as to how to secure votes: For every ..cent paid on subscription, whether old or new, one vote. (Thus every subscriber of The Telegram who paya 60 cents for his or her monthly subscription Is entitled to sixty votes.) . Every person who does not now take The Telegram who subscribes for one year and pays $7 In advance, Is entitled to- 10,000 votes; six months and pays 33.50 In advance 6000 .votes; - three months and pays $1.80 In advance Is en. titled to 2500 vote . Every ballot clipped from the paper counts for one vote. : ; These conditions will be strictly enforced en-forced In every particular. - The Telegram has had applications for the purchase of papers In quantities of from 6000 to 15,000 in order to secure the ballots In them. ' Such requests have been denied and under no consideration wiir The Telegram sell papers In numbers num-bers to any one.
