Show WILL FIND OUT IF PRISONER IS AN INDIAN Louis Trunkhill, who says that he is an American citizen, but whose appearance would indicate that he is a full-blooded Indian, was arrested Thursday morning by Patrolman J. D. Brown on a charge of vagrancy. When Trunkhill wa booked he denied that he was an Indian. This was brought about by Patrolman Brown taking a bottle bot-tle of gin from the prisoner's pocket and asking where he got It, saying that no one had a right to sell liquor to an Indian. "I am an American citizen." Trunkhill exclaimed. "I have as much right to buy booze as you. I would buy a saloon if I had money enough, and would hire you as my porter.'.' |
