Show LEVI LEITER, PIONEER CHICAGO MERCHANT DIES SUDDENLY AT BAR HARBOR : i BAR HARBOR. Me., June 9. Levi Z. Letter of Chicago died of heart failure today at the Vanderbilt cottage here, which the Leiters had taken for the season. Mr. Letter had not been well for a long time, but up to yesterday he was able to take his usual drive. A weakness of the heart developed shortly short-ly after midnight and death occurred at 3:40 a. m. Mrs. Leiter and two daughters were by the bedside at the last. Mr. Ijelter'was seventy years old. He was the father of Lady Curz.on of Kedleston, wife of the Viceroy of India, In-dia, of Miss Daisy Leiter, whose beauty has been the subject of note in English court circles, and of Joseph W. Leiter, speculator and investor. As soon as It appeared that Mr. Leiter was seriously ill messages were sent to the son and today other' members of the family were notified of the death.
