A special committee ef the United 8tat.es Gold association, - appointed at the annual meeting' last February to consider the plan of "placing all the clubs in the national na-tional .body on an equality, both in the payment of dues and In voting power, has finished, ltsj 'work and will report at the next annual meeting February 10 in this city. The committee took' Dp a proposition from fourteen' Western club! to reorganize reor-ganize the association into one class -of membership, with every club entitled to a vote. Jnl its report the committee recommend a compromise, adhering to the classes, Abut providing that an associate as-sociate membership may be changed to an active one. The dues for the latter are reduced from 1100 to 150. If adopted adopt-ed this plan will permit clubs to attain voting power In the national organisation organisa-tion if they so 'desire. It is also provided pro-vided that, allied clubs be given a representation rep-resentation on the executive board. |
