What it may have lacked In harmony and time was made up in spirit and volume. After this a short but interesting programme was given, the youngsters behaving remarkably remark-ably well, considering their number and the occasion. Next came the most interesting part of all, the appearance of Santa Cla.ua and the distribution of the presents, and. oh I what a time those 700 children had I Some laughed and shouted with Joy. while others oth-ers cried, they were so happy. At 10:80 It was all over, and as each child went to his home he appeared thankful that there was a Santa Claus and that the Salvation Army had Induced him to come to Salt Lake City. |
