Show DUGWM'S OUTLOOK GOOD; PIONEER MINERS HERE David Lrtindeen and E. Lb Cutler, two of the pioneers of the Dugway mining district, are'ln the city today,and this morning: released some Interesting Information In-formation relative to that region. According to these gentlemen, the Four Metals company is now regularly shipping ore, and a number of the r properties there could also make a creditable showing If transportation facilities were afforded. ' On the Penant group, owned by the Lundeen brothers, operations have been going on all winter, with the result that 400 feet of development has been done and a vein of phenomenally rich ore has been opened up. Besides this rich ore. which sMows as much as 340 ounces of silver, to the ton, the property also has a good showing In copper. . J. P. Nelson, with a force of men, has lately begun work on the claims owned by the Metallic Hill company, and it is understood that the crowd of railroad men which recently bought up all the shares In the Yellow Jacket company are preparing to push operations on that property. ' The St. George Copper company will send a force of men out Saturday to resume work on its claims, and E. L. Cutler, who, with W. F. Snyder, owns the property, will leave next week to take charge of the operations. President Peterson of the Dugway Mining company stated today that he will also send four or five men out Saturday to push development work during the summer on that property, which Is already extensively developed and well equipped with machinery.. |
