BE.KEfT APRIL 2i v " Early Closing of ' Schools Prevents Exercises at Accustomed Time; Programme Arranged. t The public schools of the city will observe Memorial day on Friday afternoon, after-noon, April 24th, Instead of late in May, as is the custom, owing to the fact that the schools will be closed a month earlier ear-lier than usual. Speakers have been selected from the veterans of the G. A. R. and the Spanish Span-ish war for each of the tw?nty city schools. The list of speakers and the schools which they will address follow.
