Show ( NEW ARRANGEMENT WITH 1 , TELEGRAM CARRIERS. J So successful has been the system Inaugurated by The Salt Lake Telegram with five of Its carrier routes, whereby each 'carrier on January 1st took entire possession of the business of the paper within his district, that the management will now extend the system to embrace twelve or fifteen more routes. The system sys-tem is the one and only method used in other large cities. It makes (he carriers their own masters, gives the boys a chance to share the profits of the paper, keeps them in close touch with their subscribers and is. by all means, the most satisfactory way to carriers, publisher and subscribers alike. Commencing on Monday, March 2nd, we will turn over to the regular carrier boys all the city subscription business except In the following territory: ' Both sides of South Temple from State to First West; both sides of First South from State to First West, both sides of Second South from State to First West, both sides of Third South from Second East to West Temple, both sides of State from South Temple to Fourth South, both sides of Main from South Temple to Fourth South, both sides of West Temple from South Temple to Fourth South, and all embraced territory therein. This excepted district still remains under the control of The Telegram management. Outside of this district dis-trict the following carriers each on his swn route will attend to taking subscriptions, sub-scriptions, delivering the papers, collecting the bills, beginning or stopping the paper, etc., etc., without recourse to The Telegram office: Warren Beless. Max Schick, Nelson Bleak, J. H. Miller, Paul Stevenson. Corwln Lee, Sydney Maughan, Arthur Weir, Harmon Weight, J. M. Kearsley, Alvedus Mayne, J. Eugene. Hall! day, Harry C Crozier, Ralph C. Carter and Otto Peters. In two cases four routes have been consolidated Into two. In the business district the carrier service will continue as at present, except that, a faster service will be put on, so that all papers will be delivered earlier than heretofore. . . The Telegram management, in view of .this change,-, which is to begin next Monday, will start Its old collectors out Saturday, February 28th, to clean up the accounts so as to turn over the subscribers to the carriers. An effort to pay promptly will be greatly appreciated by this office. , - . SALT LAKE TELEGRAM PUBLISHING COMPANY. , . 52 West Second South street- Salt Lake City. February 26, 130S. . : ; : |
