Lower Mammoth was again a heavy seller, but there was comparatively com-paratively little fluctuation In the price. Uncle Sam showed a decided brace, 28 cents being bid on the curb, while Star Consolidated ruled close to 35 cents. Carisa released 1000 at 9 cents. May Day sold at 12 cents, and AJax at 21 cents. ' Daly West got $46 for 25 shares on a five-day seller. Daly-Judge let 100 shares go for $10.75, and Daly parted with 200 for $1.90. Montana-Tonopah sold at $1.20, Johnny was offered at 65 cents, and Majestic at $3.60. The mid-week call of the commercial stocks resulted in no sales. . A corps of engineers will accompany Manager Jacobson to the Columbus property at Alta tomorrow morning and surveys for the location of the power plant and mill with which that property is to be equipped will be made. Mr. Jacobson made a flying trip to the mine yesterday. He says the outlook is most satisfactory. The output for this month will reach 200 tons. CHARTER MEMBER. LEAVES THE STOCX EXCHANGE. Herman Hill, one of the charter members of the Salt Lake stock exchange, ex-change, has sold his seat on the exchange ex-change to Maj. Myton. The consideration considera-tion was $300. Mr. Hill leaves shortly for Germany to be gone several months, and he says he may not enter the brokerage bro-kerage business when he returns. There are now left on the exchange only two charter members. They are CapU Egan and J. B. Thompson. ' MINING NOTES. The ore and bullion settlements yesterday yes-terday amounted to $69,900. C. E. Hudson, the broker, has returned re-turned from a trli to the coast and Tonopah. United States Mining company's stock sold as low as $21.75 on the Boston market mar-ket yesterday. The Taylor-Brunton sampler has six cars of ore from Tintlo and one from Stockton today. The Carisa yesterday marketed two cars of ore, one showing 25 per cent copper cop-per and the other 44 per cent. A broker made a bet of $5 this morning morn-ing that Uncle Sam will cross Star Consolidated Con-solidated within thirty days. Uncle Sam is now 28 cents and Star Consolidated Consoli-dated 34 cents. Total, 18,025 shares for $21,063.25. WOLVERINE TUNNEL NEAR ORE VEIN Manager L. A. Jeffs of the "Wolverine Mining company arrived from that Park City property last night, where he has been directing the operations In the Wolverine Wol-verine tunnel. Mr. Jeffs says his company com-pany will become a producer in the course of a few days. The tunnel is now in a distance of 1600 feet, and according ac-cording to the surveys it should tap the ore body at any time. The vein for which the Wolverine is driving is the same one as the St. Louis-Vassar people are extracting from on the surface. Manager Jeffs states that his tunnel will tap this vein at a vertical depth of 450 feet. Small stringers of ore are now beginning to appear in the tunnel, and the indications for an early strike are very promising. UTAH STOCKS IN BOSTON. Hackett of the Newport-Nevada company Is in the city contracting for machinery for the equipment of a twenty-flve-ton mill at the Homestake near Fay, Nev. The Homestake property prop-erty was recently acquired by the Newport-Nevada company, and it is at present looking very promising. A shaft has been driven 200 feet and a 500-foot tunnel has opened up a body of ore averaging $10 In gold. GLOWING BEPORT ON DALY WEST PBOPESTY. BOSTON, Mass., June i President Jacob K. Bamberger of the Daly "West has arrived In Boston and says In an Interview: "I do not think the directors win increase in-crease the regular dividend, but it is possible that in July or in August the stockholders will receive 'extras,' as we are earning today considerably more than the $108,000 monthly dividend requirements. re-quirements.
