Show MAD BULL PLAYS WILD HAVOC IN BARBER SHOP Crazed Animal Wrecks Place and Pens Fifteen Men Up in-Narrow Confines. '- , PHILADELPHIA, Pa.. June 5. A mad bull took posFfssion of the barber shop of B. Schlelfman at 709 South Fourth street, and in fifteen minutes he wrecked the place. When the bull entered there were fifteen men in the shop, who, when the animal appeared, made a wild dash for the front door. This was found to be locked. The huge bull, which alone almost filled the shop, 1-lunged bellowing to the rear, where he caught sight of himself in a large plate mirror. This he demolished, and completely blocked the only remaining exit. Jacob Pollunonisky, in desperation, rushed for the rear door, trying to squeeze ' by the beast. ' The bull turned at that instant, however, and tossed him to the other side of the room, breaking his leg and rendering him almost unconscious. uncon-scious. Schlelfman and his companions dragged the wounded man to the front of the shop, where all huddled together- During this wild scene the crowd on Fourth street had grown to thousands. They saw the struggle through a window, win-dow, which was fastened down. Policemen threw themselves asainst it and broke the lock. The men ran from the shop and the bull charged into the thickest thick-est of the crowd. Finally the crazed animal fell In the street from exhaustion and died. |
