Show ELEVEN IMMIGRANTS ORDERED DEPORTED. SEATTLE, June 6. Immigration inspectors in-spectors today detained four Japanese men who arrived on the steamship Rio Jun, two of whom were accompanied by their wives; one boy, 13 years old, three stowaways, and one Englishman. All were given a hearing before a special board of inquiry and have been ordered deported. The four Japanese were Infected with trocoma, a contagious disease affecting the eyes. The boy was without guardian or relatives, and liable to become a public pub-lic charge; the stowaways were not entitled enti-tled to enter under the immigration act prohibiting the passing of paupers, and the Englishman was contract labor. |
