Show THE DEWEY MINE. Shareholders of the Dewey mine, in Thunder Mountain district, are in receipt re-ceipt of the report of the conditions of' that gold-producing property of Idaho .up to April' 30, 1906, and covers the period for four years past. This report shows that the property was equipped with a ten-stamp mill for the purpose of proving the values that could be obtained by this method, as well as to provide the company with an appliance that would pay for the opening up of the ground and furnish the revenue with which to equip the mine as conditions Justified it During the four years past the gross earnings of the mill have been $206,-143.78, $206,-143.78, or an average run of $4685 per month. Part of this time the plant has been hung up for repairs, and during dur-ing the past year alterations have been' made in the methods of treating the ores so that the present time there Is gross earnings of $7000 per month. Of this amount there has been expended for operations $4700. leaving a net earning each month of $2300. ' The directors of the Dewey have some treasury stock on hand which they propose to sell, and with the money obtained from this source make an addition of twenty, stamps to the present milling capacity of the plant With the ; thirty atamps in operation, the machinery for which is now being hauled into camp, the officials say the mine will not only be In shape to pay some dividends to the shareholders, but that the property can be opened up on a larger scale and .the revenue obtained fom the milling plant will be sufficient to add-to the other equipments equip-ments of the mine that it will be necessary nec-essary to install. G. T. Brodetf is the president of the company since the Vleath of Col. Dewey, Dew-ey, and' while the Thunder Mountain district has been handicapped, principally princi-pally because of the severe winter weather that prevails in that part of Idaho, conditions are changing and other properties in that region are getting get-ting in shape to begin production of gOld.-' : . - |
