Show BOYS BEAT THE GIRLS BY MAJORITY OP FIVE The report of the City Board of Health for the week ending June 9 Is as follows: Twenty-nine births were reported during the week; seventeen males and twelve females. Twenty-six deaths were reported; twenty-two males and four females; five shipped here for burial. There were reported nine rases of contagious and infectious diseases, consisting con-sisting of two cases of smallpox, two cases of scarlet few. three cases of diphtheria, one case of measles and one case of chickenpox. Six cases of smallpox, seven cases of scarlet fever, four cases of diphtheria and one case of epidemic cerebro spinal meningitis remain In quarantine. |
