"The Moonshiners" is one of the best of the melodramas that has been put on the Grand stage this season. Grace Huff. K. C. Frlnk, Nellie Long and others constitute consti-tute the capable company that presents "The Moonshiners." The play will run unfll Wednesday night, -with matinee Wednesday. "A Jolly American Tramp" will All out the week at the Grand, opening open-ing Thursday night. mam Seats for "The Marriage of Kitty" at the Salt Lake Theater Wednesday night, went on sale this morning. m "Under Southern Skies" comes to the Salt Lake Theater next Friday and Saturday. Sat-urday. The vaudeville part of the "Washington Society Girls," which opened a week's engagement en-gagement at the Lyric Saturday afternoon, after-noon, is the best that the house has yet offered In that line. Bldora, the juggler, is superior to anyone seen in his line in 8a It Lake for a long time, while West and Williams in singing and talking are above the average. Dave Marlon in "East Side Life" keeps the audience in a roar every minute that he is on the stage. Ah Ling Foo, "Just from the Orient," is clever. These, with Miss Mantell and the Lynotte sisters, go to make up an olio that is well worth seeing and listening to. The other parts of the programme are a one-act musical mu-sical sketch. "Just for Fun," and "Kraus-meyer's "Kraus-meyer's Alley." The chorus work In both is good. The bill runs until Friday night, with a matinee Wednesday. "The Sho-Cun" proved a winner at the Salt Lake Theater Saturday afternoon and night, the place being packed at both performances. The music is tuneful, the lines bright and the general- effect most pleasing. Manager Savage, as usual, provided pro-vided a first-class company. There were more really pretty women In the bunch than ordinarily attend comic opera productions. |
