Loyola Seeking I New Grid Coach LOS ANGELES Nov 23 INS INS- INS Speculation was rife on the Loyola university campus today as to who would succeed Tom Torn Lieb who re resigned resigned resigned re- re signed as head football coach after a reign of nine years Liebs Lieb's resignation is effective March 1 I 1939 when his contract expires He submitted his formal resignation yesterday and while it was unexpected it climaxed a long period of undergraduate and alumni criticism of the football situation at atthe atthe atthe the university which had reached an ominous pitch during the past few weeks Lieb former Notre Dame star who ho later became assistant to the great Rockne announced that he had several offers from other schools under consideration He will lead the Lions for the last time Sunday when they play Gonzaga university here
