Show Boyd's parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Gleason. Mr. and Mrs. Ingo Swain and children of Telluride. Colo., arrived ar-rived August 22 to visit Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Christie. The Swain family moved Tuesday to Tooele. Mr. Swain is employed by Combined Com-bined Metals at Bauer. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Payne of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. George Eastman spent the weekend week-end near Deer Creek. Mrs. Dorothy Rushton and little lit-tle daughter of Salt Lake City are spending several weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Reed. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde G ilium and daughters, Susan and- Sally, returned re-turned Saturday from a four-day vacation at the Hot Pots. Mrs. Duretta Atkinson spent the week visiting relatives at Sa-lina. Sa-lina. Mrs. Ruth Blockovich and daughter, dau-ghter, Marian, are vacationing a week in Salt Lake City and visiting visit-ing Mrs. Bloekovich's father, Walter Blundell. Friends of Mrs. Cecilia Anderson Ander-son and family of Copperfield will be interested to hear of the marriage of Mrs. Mary Prowse, daughter of Mrs. Anderson to Clarence Hatt Monday in the Holy Rosary Catholic parsonage. Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson stood up with the bridal couple. O A farewell party was given for Mrs. Philip Smith and Mrs. J. T. Davis the evening of August 24 at the home of Mrs. Harley N. English, assisted by Mr9. John Nilsson ns cohostess. The group of neighbors gathered to play cards, enjoy refreshments and present Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Davis Da-vis with gifts. The Smiths will live at their home in Murray and the Davis family will move into their recently purchased residence at Midvale. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Gills of Springville were dinner guests Saturday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Cook. Mrs. S. J. Kenner entertained the Needle and Thimble club Wednesday evening at her home. : ' ' lark ' ' : Mrs. Ronald Miller and daughter, daugh-ter, Rolayne, of Midvale, spent two days this week at the Asahel Crump home. Mrs. Benton Boyd entertained Monday in honor of her husband on his birthday. Bridge and refreshments re-freshments were enjoyed by Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Henson of Union, Un-ion, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Meyer-hoffer Meyer-hoffer and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sonne.
