Sugar Theft and aud Jail Record Bring Penalty A long police record counted fly ily against William Bueter 24 in po police po- po lice Uce court rt Wednesday and Judge Nephi Nephi Nephi Ne- Ne po-I po phi Jensen s sentenced him to serve 60 GO days in the city jail after finding him guilty of petty larceny Bueter was arrested last Friday after he allegedly stole a sack of sugar from rom the Utah Grocer company com corn pany West Second South street He dropped the sugar when g gave vc c chase a e. e and eluded his pursuers after dodging In alleys and b behind fences for ten minutes He was captured cap cap- however when he returned to his car which was parked near the scene o of the attempted robbery Swearing fervently that he would never steal again Bueter pleaded for leniency but the court was unmoved The defendant has been arrested nine times during the past two years but was convicted only twice both times on petty larceny charge
