Show Fishing Violations Continue At High Peak Arrests for violations of the Utah Fish and Game Code continued con-tinued their skyrocketing advance during the first part of July with 30 more arrests . reported through July 12, Merrill Hand, Chief Game Warden, reported. The new arrests, most of which were for various infractions of fishing regulations, brought the 1947 total up to 301 through July 12 as compared with 202 for the same period last year. Of the 30 arrests, all but two were for fishing violations as follows: fol-lows: Using illegal bait, four; illegal methods of fishing, three; fishing without a license, eight; fishing in closed waters, four; using illegal license, four; fishing before hours, two; violation of possession limit, two; possession of undersized fish, one. One person was arrested for violation vio-lation of the fur dealer's act and another for carrying firearms on a game preserve, Hand reported. Two Heber City residents drew the heaviest penalties. |
