Show M Men To Crown Winner Next Saturday Night Throe Games Tonight, Saturday IjiiIs Sm ( (vssliill II Men IMdliiill Season In Slake Harold Christcnsen To Present Gold Basketballs To All Stake Team; Close Games Expected Tonight, Saturday Kolob Slake M Men will wind up one of their most successful seasons in llie slake history this week with three L'ames scheduled for toniht and three, Saturday night. immediately following Satur-. day night games, the stake champion cham-pion will be crowned, announces Stake Supervisor, LaMar Weight, and will be presented with a handsome hand-some trophy by the Kolob Stake M. I. A. Another feature of the closing of the season will be the presentation of gold basketballs to a selected All-Stake team. These awards are being given through the courtesy of Harold Christcnsen, ardent M Men follower fol-lower and supporter. Tonight's games promise to be good ones. In the opening tilt at 7 p. m., First will play Fourth. Both teams put up a good game last time and should provide another an-other close contest tonight. At 8 p. m., Sixth and Second, with one win each in their two previous games, will settle the account in what is expected to be the best game of the evening. Mapleton is favored to win over Fifth although al-though the Fifth warders are capable cap-able of giving the league winners plenty of basketball. In the final games scheduled for Saturday night, Feb. 16, Sixth will meet Mapleton at 7 p. m., in the feature battle of the evening. At 8 p. m., First and Second are expected to do a neck-to-neck battle bat-tle and Fifth and Fourth should provide another close one in the final game of the evening. In the three games played last Saturday Second, led by their stellar player, Grant Richins. pulled out in front over First in the second quarter and led thereafter there-after to win 29-23. Palfreyman and Brown with 8 each and E. Weight with 6 counted high for the losers. Richins and Miner with 12 and 10 points respectively, led the winners. Sixth handed First a 45-32 defeat de-feat in the second game Saturday, with W. Weight, Cherrington and N. Weight doing most of the scoring scor-ing for Sixth. Pierce led the First's scoring attack. Mapleton easily won over Fourth in one of the highest scoring games to date, 52-12. Mapleton's entire team scored well. Johnson and Child counted highest for the losers.
