Show 'AUTO ACCIDENTS DISRUPT POWER THROUGHOUT CITY Springville was without electric ; power on two separate occasions within approximately 36 hours last Thursday evening and Saturday Satur-day morning, as a result of accidents acci-dents Involving automobiles and electric light poles. An automobile driven by E. H. Harris of Salt Lake City tore a pole from its base when it skidded skid-ded from the road at the mouth of Spanish Fork canyon Thursday Thurs-day evening disrupting city power pow-er service for a three-hour period. Harris escaped uninjured but the front of his car was badly damaged. dam-aged. While he was getting help to tow his car, a truck skidded from the road and crashed into the rear end of his automobile. Saturday morning in a similar accident, Michael G. Botonakis of Columbia, failed to negotiate a turn at the corner of Fourth East and Fourth South street, skidded across the road and tore a utility pole from its base. He received cuts to his head and his car was badly damaged. |
