Show Many Friends Pay Tribute To Life Of Bertha Stewart The Second ward chapel was filled to capacity last Monday when .funeral services were conducted con-ducted for Mrs. Bertha Stewart. The services were under direction of the ward bishopric, and burial was in the Evergreen cemetery. Mrs. Stewart died unexpectedly of a cerebral hemorrhage on Thursday, January 27,' at the family fam-ily residence, 700 South Main St. She had been ill only one day. Born in Spanish Fork, May 4, 1899, she was a daughter of Daniel Dan-iel and Maggie Swenson Williams. She received her education in the Spanish Fork schools and spent her early life in that city. She was married to Floyd Stewart June 22, 1921, in the Salt Lake temple. They lived a year in Spanish Span-ish Fork and she had made her home in Springville for the past 27 years. Mrs. Stewart had taken an active ac-tive part in church work, having served in the Relief Society, Sunday Sun-day school and Primary organizations. organiza-tions. She was also chorister in the Second ward. Her survivors include two daughters, daugh-ters, Jean and Ruth Stewart, and four sons, Allen R., Jay, Howard and Floyd W. Stewart, Springville: also her mother and a brother and sister, Ray D. Wiliams, and Mrs. Gladvs Christmas of Spanish Fork, and three grandchildren. |
