Show State Health Report j State health officers and physicians physi-cians report 471 cases of communicable commun-icable diseases for the week ending June 1, to the Utah State Department Depart-ment of Health this is a slight decrease from the total of 553 cases reported for the previous week. Of unusual interest is the reporting of five cases of polio. The patients are all children, and range from 4 to 11 years. Since Jan. 1, this year, a total of ten cases of this disease has been reported re-ported in the state. In 1944, five cases were reported. Five cases of tularemia were reported re-ported for the week, one a nonresident, non-resident, and all adults. Apparently Apparent-ly all were infected while shearing shear-ing sheep. One was infected by the bite of a "tick." |
