Show JAYCEES RETURN FROM NATIONAL MEET IN CALIF. "ThTspringville Jaycee delegation delega-tion has returned from attending the national convention at Ixmg Beach, Calif., and all report a fine time as well as bringing home several sev-eral honors. To the local club went second place in Division One for publications, publica-tions, and the Mapleton Jaycees organization took third place in Division One for sports and recre-ation. recre-ation. Attending the convention from Springville were the club president, Ray Klauck and Mrs. Klauck, Mr and Mrs. Kay Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Bird, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Thorn, Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Mortensen, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ost-I Ost-I lund, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Smith, j Mr. and Mrs. Lee Miner and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Miller. Enroute to the convention, a number of the members .attended the Charter Night exercises a Fillmore. Fill-more. There were also a number who went from Springville to the program. A highlight of the activities at the national convention was the presentation of a lovely painting in behalf of the Springville club to Seldon Waldo, national president. |
