Show WIUCJIT PLANE COMING HOME The airplane In which Wilbur and Orville Wright made their first successful flights in 1903 near Kitty Hawk, N. C, will be brought back to the United States and installed in the Smithsonian Institute. This was revealed in connection with the celebration of the fortieth forti-eth anniversary of the famous flight. President Roosevelt announced an-nounced that Orville Wright "is going to bring the Kitty Hawk plane back from England, where it has been in the British Museum." Muse-um." This will end, happily, we hope, the long controversy about the "first" plane and, quite appropriately, appropri-ately, place the relic in the country coun-try of its inventors, where it should have been all the time. |
