Show LLOYD BIRD INJURED IN TRAIN ACCIDENT Lloyd Bird of this city narrowly escaped serious injury Tuesday evening, when the light pickup truck he was driving, was struck by a northbound D. & R. G. Western West-ern railroad freight train at the crossing on Fourth North and Fourth West street. The truck was knocked 20 feet from the tracks crashing into a signal control and was practically demolished by the impact. Lloyd escaped with a deep cut over his eye, bruises to his head and body, and was rendered unconscious. un-conscious. He was taken by the train crew to the Rio Grande depot, and treated by Dr. George Anderson before being taken to his home. |
