Show C- of a To Install Officers At Banquet Tonight I Adam S. Bennion Scheduled As Guest Speaker ! At Installation Banquet-Program Set For 6:30 P. M. At Local Memorial Hall Dr. George A. Anderson today had been elected president of the Springville Chamber of Commerce, succeeding W. W. Clyde, according to Secretary A. K. Peterson. Other new officers include: George Wright, vice-president; vice-president; Glen Sumsion, Floyd Miner, J. Emmett Bird, Harrison Conover, and Dr. G. B. Orton, members of the board of directors. Holdover directors include Ed Johnson, J. W. Grant, G. Lowry Anderson, and A. O. Thorn. The new officers will be installed install-ed at ceremonies in connection with a banquet this evening at Memorial hall, to which wives of chamber members are invited. The banquet and program will begin at 7:30 o'clock. Adam S. Bennion is scheduled as the principal guest speaker, his subject to be, "Wake Up, America." Amer-ica." Mayor W. W. Clyde, retiring retir-ing president of the chamber, will report on the activities of the organization or-ganization the past year and will turn tne duties or his office over to the new president. F. C. Packard Pack-ard will be toastmaster. Community singing will be under un-der the direction of Carl O. Nelson, Nel-son, and the Happy Chappies, string and vocal trio, will also furnish fur-nish music. Mrs. William Schrei-ner Schrei-ner will give a comic reading, and Louise Clyde will entertain with an accordian selection. |
