Show IMPROVEMENTS SEEN ALONG MAIN STREET Many New Buildings And Remodeling Jobs Change Appearance Of City An indication of the growth and progress of Springville city is seen in the many new buildings and building improvements now underway under-way in the business section of the city. This spring will probably see more construction, more remodeling remodel-ing and redecorating on Main street than in several years. Beginning with erection of the fine brick building near the site of the old Harrison hotel on South Main street, the spirit of redoing the town seems to have spread to almost every major business. According Ac-cording to report, the J. C. Penney company store will soon be located in the new brick building, which when completed will be one of the most modern and up-to-date structures struc-tures of its kind in the city. Across the street on the -southwest corner of Second South and Main, work is underway on the complete remodeling of the Springville Spring-ville bank building. With a high board wall surrounding the old building, and a large crew of (Continued on page eight) 'IMPROVEMENTS SEEN ALONG MAIN STREET (Continued from page one) workmen dismanteling the structure, struc-ture, the entire business corner has taken on a strange, yet industrious indus-trious appearance. While work on remodeling the bank is carried on, the Springville Eanking company has moved temporarily tem-porarily to the Mendenhall Bank building, which also underwent considerable changes and redecor-ation redecor-ation for the new business.
