Show EVA LeGALLIENNE TO APPEAR IN PLAY AT PROVO People of southern Utah will have the opportunity to enjoy the best in stage entertainment on Friday, when the Paromnut theatre In Provo brings the great Eva LeGallienne in person in the famous Ibsen play, "Hedda Gab-ler." Gab-ler." The Paramount management is endeavoring to prove that the people peo-ple of this section of the state can support the big New York roadshows road-shows touring the country, and has arranged for three shows to vifit Provo this year, namely, "Golden Boy." which has already played; "Hedda Gabler," and "On Horrowed .Time." ThalsSe shows play only one other city in Utah, that being Salt Lake City. If they prove to be a success this season, they will be booked in future seasons, and Provo will be put on the legitimate theatre map. The prices charged for these shows, instead of being higher than in Salt Lake, are nearly 50 per cent lower. Only one performance per-formance is to be given, that at 8:30 p. m., on Friday night. All seats are reserved. Miss LeGallienne is known as one of the first ladies of the theatre, having won honorary degrees de-grees from seven universities, many medals, and also the $5,000 Pictorial Review prize as having the outstanding achievement of any American woman during a year, a prize never before or since being won by an actress. She comes to Provo with a distinguished distinguish-ed New York supporting cast, headed by Earle Larimore, well-known well-known Broadway leading man. |
