Show SONS OF PIONEERS ELECT OFFICERS At a meeting of the Sons of the Utah Pioneers held Sunday in the Second Ward, 'M. W. Bird was re-elected captain, with John S. Boyer, first lieutenant; Willis K. Johnson second lieutenant; G. C. Laney, secretary; Charles Allman, treasurer; George L. Beardall, membership chairman, and M. F. Miner amusement chairman. Lawrence T. Epperson of Salt Lake City, and Proffessor Ed. M. Rowe of the Brigham Young university, uni-versity, both members of the state executive board, were principal speakers at the meeting. The purpose of the organization is to preserve the faith, spirit, and remarkable work accomplished by the pioneers who laid the foundation founda-tion for the state of Utah. |
