Show CLYDES PRESIDE AT SESSIONS OF CONVENTION W. W. Clyde, 19 3 9 president of the Intermountain branch of the Associated General contractors of America, presided at the eighteenth eighteen-th annual convention held last weekend in Salt Lake City. At the business meeting Friday, Frank J. Fullmer was elected president pres-ident to succeed Mr. Clyde for this year, and other officers were elected. A stag party was held Friday evening at the Hotel Utah, and on Saturday morning the contractors con-tractors met with subcontractors, engineers and representatives of all branches of the industry to discuss dis-cuss 'policies and "programs. J. Leonard Love, of the Springville firm, Koepsel and Love Automotive Auto-motive jobbers, "was chairman of the session. A buffet luncheon and open house at various contractors' and dealers' places of business followed. fol-lowed. Mrs. W. W. Clyde was chairman chair-man of arrangments for the dinner din-ner for wives of the contractors held Friday night at the Hotel Newhouse. Wives of the members of the State Road Commission were special guests at the affair. Mrs. Henry H. Blood, wife of the governor of Utah, and Mrs. Ab Jenkins, wife of the Salt Lake City mayor were in attendance at the smart social function. Mrs.' W. W. Clyde gave a short talk welcoming the ladies, and dinner was served to approximately approximate-ly seventy-one members and guests following which an interesting program was presented, featuring the KSL wranglers, and Mrs. Peggy Peg-gy Epperson of Salt Lake City furnished music during the dinner. |
