Show PARAXADA CLUB MEMBERS WERE ENTERTAINED on Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. LaVern Singleton. A delightful de-lightful evening was spent playing play-ing progressive games, and an entertaining en-tertaining program of musical and dance numbers was presented. Several piano numbers were played in a duet form by the Misses Gloria Singleton and Dorothy Doro-thy Hoover of Provo. Miss Veloy Singleton and Miss Donna Singleton Single-ton sang a vocal duet. Lily Mae Whicker and Veloy Singleton danced the rhumba to special tango tan-go music and castanets played by Mrs. Tess Hatfield. Mrs. Tess Hatfield played several sever-al piano solos during the evening and gave a special demonstration of a Spanish dance. Group singing was also a feature of entertainment. entertain-ment. A May day theme was employed employ-ed in decorations. On the large table a special Maypole and May queen were artistically arranged with small figures holding Maypole May-pole streamers. Special favors of miniature flower pots were given each guest. Prize for the games was awarded award-ed to Mrs. Afton Draper, a guest from Provo. Members present were Virginia Simkins, Mary Boyer, Virginia Rivers, Ri-vers, Norda Finlinson, Mildred Larsen, Dorothy Richardson, Fern Ostler, Beth Johnson, Tonie Fox, Tess Hatfield, and the hostess, and special guests were' Mrs. Louise Lou-ise Singleton, Miss Donna Singleton, Single-ton, Miss Gloria Singleton, and Miss Dorothy Hoover, all of Provo; Pro-vo; Mrs. Beth Butler, Mrs. Lillian Lil-lian Crandall, Miss Veloy Singleton, Single-ton, and Miss Lily Mae Whicker, of Springville. |
