Show ORDINANCE AX ORDINANCE LEVYING THE TAX AND PROVIDING FOIl THE ASSESSMENT- OF PROP FRTY IV SIDEWALK PAVING DISTRICT, NO. 3, SPRINGVILLE CITY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF PtVIXG AND IMPROVEMENTS IMPROVE-MENTS THERKIN AND FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF NECESSARY IRRIGATION CULVERTS UNDER THE SAID PAVEMENT WHERE REQUIRED. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF SPRINGVILLE: SPRING-VILLE: Section 1. That all the proceedings, pro-ceedings, matters, and things heretofore here-tofore taken, had and done in connection with the establishment of Sidewalk Paving District No. 3. in the City of Springville, Utah, and the construction therein there-in of he local improvement consisting con-sisting of cement concrete sidewalks side-walks and irrigation culverts under the said sidewalks be and the same hereby are fully approved, ap-proved, ratified and confirmed. Section 2. That said improvement improve-ment constructed and completed in front of and along the property prop-erty hereinafter described be and hereby is accepted by said city of Springville; that the cost thereof there-of be and is hereby found and deterfined to be nine thousand five hundred seventy nine dollars and seventy cents ($9,579.70). Section 3. That the City Council of Springville does hereby levy a tax and provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter described in sidewalk Paving District No. 3, Springville, Utah,, for the purpose pur-pose of grading and constructing cement concrete sidewalks four feet wide, including the construction construc-tion of irrigation culverts where required on the following streets in Springville, Utah, to-wit: 3rd East Street, en both sides, between 4th south street and 4th North Street. 1st East Street, on both sides, between 4th South Street and 4th North Street. 1st West Street, on both sides, between 4th South Street and Center Street. 1st West Street, on west side, between Center Street and 1st North Street. 1st West Street, on both sides, between 1st North Street and 4th North Street. 2nd West Street, on east side, from the northwest corner of Block 38, South 123 feet. 2nd West- Street, on east side, between 1st North Street and 3rd North Street. 2nd West Street, on west side, between 2nd South and 4th North Street., 3rd West Street, on both sides, between ' 4th south Street and 2nd South Street. 4th North Street, on south side, between 2nd West Street and 4 th East Street. 4th North Street, on North side, between 3rd East Street and 4 th East Street. 3rd North Street, on South side, between 2nd West Street and 1st West Street. 1st South Street, on south side, between Main Street and 1st East Street. 1st South Street, on south side, between 2nd' East Street and 4th East Street. 2nd South Street, on south side, between 3rd East Street and 4 th East Street. 1st North Street, on south side, between 2nd West Street and 3rd West Street. 1st North Street, on south side, between Main Street and 1st West Street. 4 th East Street, on west side, between 4 th North Street and 3rd North Street. 2nd North Street, on south side, between 1st West Street and 2nd West Street. 1st East Street, on both sides, between 4th south Street and Sth South Street. 2nd East Street, on both sides, between 4th South Street and 8th South Street. 7th South Street, on both sides, between Main Street and 2nd East Street. 8th South Street, on south side, between Main Street and 4th East Street. Bulkley Avenue, on North side, running in a southeasterly direction di-rection between 4th East Street and 4th South Street. 4th East Street, on east side, between be-tween 4 th South Street and Hobble Creek. 4 th South Street, on north side, between 4th East Street and about 8th East Street or to the Tranchell Hill. 4th South Street, on south side, between 2nd West Street and 4th West Street. This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing the above described improvements upon the streets above described in front of the property hereinafter herein-after described to be especially affected and benefited by said improvements' and it is hereby adjudged and determined that said property will be especially benefited thereby to the full a-mount a-mount of the tax herein levied and said tracts, and parcels of land are hereby assessed in accordance ac-cordance with the linear foot frontage upon said streets to the full depth of said lots. All lots, plots, and parcels of land abutting on either side of the aforementioned streets and which are benefited thereby as above determined are as follows, to-wit: Frontage abutting upon four feet width of pavement comprise the following blocks and areas: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, .21, 22, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 43 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 58, 69, 60, 61, 62, 63, and 64, Plat "A". Also all property abutting on the north side of 4th North Street between 3rd East Street and 4th East Street. Also all property abutting on the south side of 4th South Street between 2nd West and 4th West Street. Also all property abutting on the East side of 4th East Street between'4tli" South Street and Hobble Creek. Also all property abutting on the north side of 4th South Street between 4th East Street and 8th East Street or Tranchell Hill. Also all property abutting on the north side of Bulkley Avenue between 4th East Street and 4th South Street. Also all property abutting on both sides of 1st East Street between 4th South Street and 8th South Street. Also all property abutting on both sides of 2nd East Street between 4th South Street and 8th South Street. Also all property abutting on the South side of Eighth South Street between Main Street and 4th East Street. Also all property abutting on both sides of 7th South Street between Main Street and 2nd I East Street. payable in five (5) equal yearly installments as provided by law and Ordinance, with interest on the whole sum unpaid at the rate of 6 per cent ped annum, payable pay-able at the time each installment is due. In the event any installment install-ment or interest aforesaid is not paid on the day the same becomes due, the whole amount of the special tax unpaid at the time of said installment and interest are due, shall become due and payable pay-able and shall draw interest at the rate of 6 per cent per annum until paid. Section 6. That the City Recorder shall deliver to the City Treasurer a certified copy of the Ordinance levying such tax, and such Treasurer shall, without delay, give at least five (5) days' notice in one or more newspapers having a general circulation in the city of Springville of the time when such tax will be delinquent. delin-quent. Published in the Springville Herald March 21, 1940. twenty-two and one-half (22Jc) on four feet width sidewalk pavement, pave-ment, and the Treasurer of the City of Springville is hereby authorized au-thorized and directed to assess in accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance for the purpose above mentioned. The tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon abutting tracts and parcels of land is twenty-two and one-half (22c) cents on four feet width sidewalk pavement per front or lineal foot of abutting property in front of which said sidewalk paving and improvements improve-ments have been constructed. Section 4. That the assessment assess-ment list made by the City Treasurer, Trea-surer, as corrected, approved, and completed by the Board of Equalization Equali-zation and Review, of the property prop-erty described in Sidewalk Paving Pav-ing District No. 3, for the purpose of grading and constructing cement concrete sidewalks four feet wide, as aforesaid, and to construct necessary irrigation culverts cul-verts under the said sidewalks where required is hereby confirmed, con-firmed, and the assessment made and returned in said completed list and the report of the Board of Equalization and Review to the City Council of Springville City are hereby ratified, approved, and confirmed.
