Show CANYON CAMPS ' EAST OF HERE PROVE POPULAR More than 15,000 campers, tourists tour-ists and fishermen" visited the recreational rec-reational areas east of Springville and in Diamond Fork canyons the past six weeks, according to a report re-port by LeRoy Whitehead, district recreation director. The Hobble Creek areas, including includ-ing Cherry Forest camp, Sulphur; Birch and Balsam camps, were the most popular, with about 10,000 visitors going to this area. Fishing In Hobble Creek has proven the biggest drawing card, more than 10,000 having been planted there this season. Reunions and other groups have added to the number of canyon campers, Director Whitehead said. Fishing in the Diamond Fork and Sixth Water streams has also brought many campers to that area. |
