Her principal prin-cipal supply routes have been broken brok-en and her powerful enemy seems to be determined to remove all possible pos-sible avenues of communication with her allies. The only comfort which buoys the confidence of Chinese leaders is the knowledge that Japan, by attacking Pearl Harbor, has arrayed array-ed against herself both the United Unit-ed States and Great Britain. This means that to win the war against China, the Japanese must succeed in crushing the United States and Great Britain. The hope that strengthens Chinese Chi-nese resolves may be far distant, but it is nonetheless solid comfort. protest or such protest may be made orally at said hearing.
