Show Mapleton To Celebrate Pioneer Day, Friday Opening of Swimming- Pool, Races And Pioneer Program To Be Featured In Celebration Sponsored By Ward And Mapleton Officials Mapleton will celebrate July 24th with several entertaining features planned by the Mapleton ward and city officials, it was announced Wednesday. An invitation is extended to citizens' of this community to join with them in the day celebration. Beginning at 10:30 a. m., a pioneer pio-neer program will be conducted in the ward chapel under the direction of the Sunday school, with Aaron Mendenhall as chairman. In the afternoon a program of races including bicycle and prob ably pony races, and other sports, will be conducted an,d numerous Prizes awarded the winners. This Phase of the entertainment is under the direction of the Seventies Quorum of the ward. The Primary organization will also sponsor a fishing pond for we youngsters and concessions at we park will be under the direction the Mutual Improvement asso-c asso-c ation. Bishop Frank Jensen and ther members of the bishopric are acting as general heads of the v"ious committees.
