Show DOORS OPEN AT B. Y. U. IN FOUR WEEKS Just four weeks hence Brigham Young university opens its doors for the Autumn quarter. Registration will be September 20, 21 and 23, according to Dr. Christen Jensen, acting president. The first two days have been set aside especially for freshmen and new students. The enrolling procedure will continue on September Sep-tember 23 for upper classmen. On all three registration days, English placement tests will be held for first year students. Each freshman will take the test before being assigned to an English section sec-tion in the registering process, Dr. Jensen explained. "New student" programs, de- signed to provide instruction and entertainment for freshmen and transfer students coming to B. Y. U. for the first time, are also scheduled sche-duled for each evening during the registration period. Special aids will be arranged for the newcomers newcom-ers by officers of the Associated Women Students and the Associated Asso-ciated Men Students. Instruction in all departments of the university will begin on Tuesday, September 24. Other before - school events which will precede registration at the university are the opening of I the training schools on Septem-I Septem-I ber 9, and the first faculty meet- ing, September 16. |
