Lyness of the Nebraska experiment experi-ment station, through studies of the Telative values of different fungicides for the control of stinking stink-ing smut in winter wheat have found that copper carbonate and new improved ceresan dust were highly effective in controlling the disease without injury to the seed, while formaldehyde proved effective effec-tive but injured the seed sufficiently suffi-ciently to materially reduce the yield. |
