Show MAGICIAN SHOW PROMISES BIG ENTERTAINMENT Thrilling, fascinating, astounding, astound-ing, wonderful, might describe some of the miraculous feats which Birch, Master Magician, will perform per-form Wednesday, Nov. 22, at the High School. There will be a matinee mat-inee at 3:45 for grade and high school students. Included in the Birch performance perform-ance are such bewildering illusions illu-sions as the Vanishing Pony, in which a beautiful Shetland is caused to vanish while suspended in mid-air; the Challenge Packing Pack-ing Box escape in which Birch will attempt to escape from a strong box constructed by a local lumber company; the Beautiful Silk Mirage Mir-age where yards and yards of gorgeous gor-geous rainbow silks appear from nowhere; the Canary and the Mazda Lamp, in which a live Canary is shot into a burning light bulb; and fifty other amazing illusions. A huge truck transports the thirty-eight trunks and crates of equipment and scenery, making the Birch production the largest magical show on tour in the United Unit-ed States today. "Birch is playing to capacity audiences in every city and the reason? It is not "talkie," and no't a radio presentation, presen-tation, but Birch in preson presenting pre-senting a most interesting evening eve-ning of humor and mystery. Mabel Sperry, brilliant young xylophonist, is the assisting artist. A star of radio and concert fame, she brings you delightful melodies on her World's Fair Marimba. The show is being sponsored by the local Junior Chamber of Commerce. |
