Show Soviet has a hand in dif f iculties that seem to be increasing in Spain. The rebellion of General Franco Fran-co against the legally-established government of Spain would have been liquidated in short order ex cept for the assistance given U.e Dictator by the German and Italian Ital-ian governments. It probably would have been liquidated in spit of this aid, if the governments of the United States, Great Britain and France had permitted the reg ular government of Spain to buy munitions of war. While the hold of General Franco Fran-co upon the Spanish people is somewhat edubious, disinterested observers of the Spanish situation seem inclined to believe the Fran ce so opposition is badly divided and unable to get together for decisive action against the Dictator. However How-ever this may be, Franco is a vestige ves-tige of Europe and in time will follow his friends out of office and out of power. HOW LONG WILL FRANCO LAST?
