Show PeManal Mrs. Virginia Pehr has returned to San Diego, Calif., after spend-n spend-n week with her parents, Mr and Mrs. R. A. Huntington and with other relatives and friends Mr. and Mrs. George Cartensen and family have moved from Springville to American Fork to make their home Mr. Cartensen was formerly associated with Koepsel & Love here. Mr. and Mrs. G. Ray Hales and two sons spent Friday of the past week in Salt Lake City, the latter visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Grooms. Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Gardner (Naomi Sumsion) and baby have moved to Hollister, Calif., where Mr. aGrdner is managing a large ranch. Mr. and Mrs. Orval Singleton spent the past week in San Diego, Calif., visiting their son Dick who is stationed in the Navy and expects ex-pects to go out soon. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Packard and daughter Penny of Salt Lake City visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Packard and other Springville Spring-ville relatives and friends Mrs .Thomas C. Peterson (Rose-lyn (Rose-lyn Eddington) has returned to Springville after a three-months' visit wtih her husband, Lt Peterson Peter-son at Charleston, S. C, at New York, and in Virginia. m Beth Evans, specialist Q 1 C, has just received a promotion and spent the past week visiting relatives rela-tives and friends in Springville. She was given a 14-day leave from her post in Washington, D. C. Major Warwick Palfreyman is visiting here with his wife and two children. He is stationed at Minneapolis, Min-neapolis, Minn, and expects to be transferred soon. He made the trip by plane. Louise Long and Venice Pennington, Pen-nington, employed in Salt Lake City, visited over the week-end with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Long and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Pennington. . . Mrs Mary E. Sessions and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Sessions of Salt Lake City visited Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Selvoy J. Boyer. Mr. and Mrs. Golden Sessions (Ellen Wheeler) and daughter Karen are visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Wheeler, and other relatives and friends. They are from Spokane, Wash. Mrs. James H. Wardell, accompanied accom-panied by Anna Mae Bird, Glenna Kennedy and Elaine Anderson, has just returned from a visit in California where they went to see Rex Wardell, whose ship had docked for a few days. He has been in the South Pacific for several sev-eral months and has three stars in recognition of participation In three major engagements. Mr. and Mrs. Gene U Mock (Norma Gustin) have spent the past few days with relatives and friends in Springville and Provo. Mr. Gustin, a seaman second class in the Navy, was a member of the renowned U. S. S. Nevada which participated in the invasion of Normandy and Cherbourg, France. During his overseas service, Mrs. Mock has been living at Boston, Mass. The couple has now gone to Washington, D. C where he will attend school for six weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Johnson and children of Ogden, spent the weekend week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Bird and Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Holley are visiting in California with Lam" Holley; Virginia Bird and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bird. Rita King of Fairfield Me. is here to spend the winter with her brother and sister-in-law, Drs. A. and Mary King. She plans to assist with the office work. |
