Show SERVICES HELD FOR WORLD WAR VETERAN Well attended services were conducted in the Third ward chapel cha-pel Sunday afternoon for William Zeb Huntington,, 53, World War veteran of this city; who died In a California hospital last Thursday, following a long illness. Bishop C. G. Laney had the services in charge. The invocation was offered by A. B. Gore. The Misses Melba Jensen, Jen-sen, Melba Merritt and Lula Fox gave a vocal trio. Hilman Snell rendered a vocal solo and Phylis Smart gave a violin number. Speakers at the services were William Witney and Peter Nell-son, Nell-son, former bishops in the Third ward. Bishop Laney also spoke briefly. The invocation was offered by Maurice Metcalf. M. W. Bird dedicated dedi-cated the grave at the City cemetery, ceme-tery, and under the direction of the local post of the American Legion military rituals were conducted. con-ducted. Mr. Huntington was born in Springville March 29, 1887, a son of George and Julia Snelson Huntington. Hun-tington. He had lived in Springville Spring-ville most of his life, following the occupations of farming and trapping. He was a member of the American Legion post of Springville. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Wilda Dowdell and Mrs. Mae Stewart of Springville, and Mrs. Adelaide Buechner of Roseville, Calif. |
