Show Library Improved For Junior Quarters Junior Library to Open Daily; Improvements Facilitate Adult's and Children's Reading Quarters ' Among civic improvements of special interest to the people of this community are those recently completed com-pleted at the Public Library. Under supervision of the library board, a basement room has been reno- vated and equipped with shelving, tables and chairs for the purpose of establishing a separate Junior library. A total of 2,900 books and eight current magazines will be placed there from the main room upstairs. The room is cool and pleasant and will provide an ideal place for boys and girls to spend their afternoons. The Junior library is to be open daily from 3 until 5:30 p. m., and books can be obtained from this department only during these hours. It is desired that parents cooperate in having their children use this library and observe ob-serve regulations. Friday, June 28, is the day set for the opening of the Junior department de-partment and during the two days prior to the opening day no children's child-ren's books will be let out. However, How-ever, during the time, children may call and have their cards adjusted ad-justed in readiness for the opening. open-ing. Removal of the children's books from the main library will relieve crowded conditions there and provide pro-vide a more quiet place for adult reading and study. The adult library li-brary contains 5,000 books and more than thirty current magazines maga-zines and newspapers. The public is cordially invited at all times to make use of the splendid advantages the library affords and to especially visit and inspect the new Junior., department. |
