Show Poppy Poster Exhibit to Precede Judging Friday at Memorial Hal! A - ik Over 150 poppy posters are expected ex-pected to be entered in the annual Poppy Poster contest sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary, ac- cording to Mrs. Beth Johnson, chairman. The posters will be gathered from the schools this week and displayed dis-played in Memorial Hall Friday afternoon and evening. They will be judged in the early evening by Rell Francis, art instructor at Pay-son; Pay-son; Bill Bird and Bob Frazier, art majors at the BYU, assisted by Lois Child, president of the Auxiliary. Auxil-iary. The first place winners in the 4th, 5th and 6th grades and the first in the senior and in the junior high school will be entered in the district. First, second and third place winners in each division will be given a cash prize by the Auxiliary and most of the poppy posters made will be exhibited in store windows preceding Poppy Day, May 26. |
