Show BYU-Montana Football Game to Be Televised from Y Stadium Saturday Utah County will move into the national spotlight spot-light Saturday afternoon when Brig-ham Young University Uni-versity hosts Montana's football team in a Cougar homecoming game that will be televised regionally to all viewers west of Chicago. An estimated 15,000,000 people will watch the Cougars and the Grizzlies tangle in the Y stadium in 'the only football game to be televised from the Rocky Mountain area this fall. It will be the first time a major event of any kind has been televised from the Provo and Utah County area. University officials said the half-time half-time program of the Montana-BYU Montana-BYU game would salute Utah County and some of its outstanding features. Hundreds of Brigham Young University's alumni are expected to be on hand for the traditional homecoming events which include the football game, the homecoming dance; the big homecoming assembly assem-bly and the big homecoming parade. par-ade. The parade, which is considered one of the community highlights of the year, will be staged in downtown Provo Saturday morning morn-ing with, scores of floats, bands, and special attractions. This year's homecoming queen is Miss Barbara Benson, daughter of Agriculture Secretary Ezra Taf t Benson. Her attendants are Jane Eddington and Jane Greenig. |
