Show Election Issues lo Be Explained Friday Evening Townspeople who would like to know more concerning the referendum refer-endum and the proposed amendment amend-ment to the constitution, both of which will be voted on in the election, November 2, are asked to attend a meeting in the Brook-side Brook-side School Friday evening at 7 p.m. Speakers will be Senator Marl Gibson of Price who will discuss the referendum matter concerning junior colleges, whether Weber, Dixie and Snow junior colleges should be operated by the state or turned back to their former owner, the LDS church. Also Clair Hopkins Hop-kins of Vernal will discuss another an-other issue, which will appear on the ballot in referendum form, that of whether or not the constitution will be changed to set up a different dif-ferent method of selecting the state senate membership and the reapportionment of the House of Representatives. The meeting is being sponsored by the Springville PTA Council and a special invitation is given all PTA officers, room representatives representa-tives and chairmen of all schools as well as the general public. |
