Show I Springville Vacationers Mix Business with Pleasure Mr. and Mrs. Harold Whiting, Mrs. Beulah Whiting and Misses Marie and Zina Johnson enjoyed a week's vacation in California where Mrs. Harold Whitiner went especially to exhibit her famous First Lady dolls. The dolls were exhibited at Mt. San Antonio college at Pamona, Calif., at the North Long Beach ward MIA, and also at the Third ward in Long Beach. Maria and Zina Johnson joined the Whitings at Boulder City, Nev., after a brief visit with Mr. and Mrs. Tom Mead there. Upon arrival ar-rival at the Mead home to pick up the Johnsons, Mrs. Harold Whiting Whit-ing was guest of honor at a birthday birth-day dinner which came quite as a surprise to her. At Arcadia, Calif., Mrs. Beulah Whiting was the house guest of Mr. and Mrs. George Adams, formerly for-merly of Springville. The Harold Whitings visited with Franchon Johnson at Glen-dale, Glen-dale, Calif. Franchon will be remembered re-membered here for here fine exhibits ex-hibits of hobbies. They also were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stewart at Garden Grove. Mrs. Stewart (Ora Pate Stewart, to her many friends here) was the escort es-cort for Mrs. Whiting and arranged arrang-ed for her exhibiting her dolls there. They also spent one night at Claremont, Calif., visiting Jan-ette Jan-ette Gray Turner, a former resident resi-dent of this city. While in Calif., the Whiting party par-ty toured the LDS temple at Los Angeles, visited Forest Lawn, Disneyland Dis-neyland and Knotts Berry Farm. They stopped briefly at Boulder on their return trip. |
