Show nlereil ... Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Mower and family arrived recently from Byron, Wyo. and have been visiting visit-ing relatives and friends in Springville. Spring-ville. Mrs. Minerva Weight has had as her guests, her son Vaun and wife and their two daughters of Poca-tello, Poca-tello, Idaho. They also visited relatives rela-tives and friends in Salt Lake. RDss Maurine Bird, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Bird of Mapleton Ma-pleton has gone to Bryces Canyon where she will be employed for the summer. Mrs. Orvil Ence returned recently re-cently from a trip to Ohio. She acompanied her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Jolly to Ohio and return. The Jolly's are now making their home in Salt Lake. Carl Sanford, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sanford, and Blaine Boyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Boyer, left immediately after the BYU graduation exercises for a visit to San Francisco, Calif. Carl will visit his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brinton. Mr. and Mrs. Adam J. Miller and family left recently to make their home in Long Beach, Calif. Visiting with Mrs. Mary Ellen Sanford and other relatives here -the past few days have been her son-in-law, Harry Woods of T.a-coma, T.a-coma, Wash, and his two daughters, daugh-ters, Louise Woods and Mrs. Leon McGrain, the latter of Idaho Falls, Ida. They came for Memorial Day and while in Utah, with Mr. Orvil Ence, visited in Panguitch. Mayor and Mrs. Edward Clyde had as their guests last Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. George M. Kodo of Kapaa, Hawaii and three of their daughters, Gladys, Eleanor and Nancy. Also Miss Nancy Takemo-to Takemo-to and Fred Takasiki. Gladys, Hondo Hon-do and Nancy Takemoto received their B. A. degrees from the BYU on Monday, while Eleanor and Nancy Kondo and Fred Takasiki will continue their studies at the BYU next year. Before returning home, Mr. and Mrs. Kondo planned to visit in Cardston, Canada and in Mexico City, where they will attend the Lions convention June 23 to 30. Mrs. Annie Ericksen of Salt Lake City is visiting at Mapleton with her daughters, Mrs. Amanda Binks and Mrs. Lily Hopla and families. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Whiting of Mapleton have been spending two weeks in Compton, Calif., visiting visit-ing their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Baker. i Mr. and Mrs. John K. Kindred have returned home from Logan where they spent four days over the week end with their daughter, Marie, and family, the E. R. Web-sters. Web-sters. While there they celebrated both wedding anniversaries, 48 years for the Kindreds and 21 for the Websters, both on June 1. Mr. and Mrs. Kindred also did ordinance ordin-ance work in the Logan temple, y Mr. and Mrs. John Stark and family have returned from several sev-eral days vacation spent at Mesa Verde National Park and Grand Canyon. |
