Show I Jown . . . I Mr. and Mrs. Vern W. Svvarts- fager (Nell Clark) of San Francisco, Francis-co, visited a few days here last week with Mrs. Clark's brother, Frank Clark and family and her sister, Mrs. Willis K. Johnson and family. They left early this week for Evanston, Wyo., where they will visit relatives before returning return-ing to Springville. Mr. and Sirs. A. G. Johnson have as their guests the past week. Mrs. Johnson's sister, Mrs. C. I. Carter of Riverside, Calif., also her father, Dr. N. H. Packard of Ogden. Mayor and Mrs. Edward Clyde have as their guests this weak Mrs. Clyde's brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Mendenhall and son Klair and daughter Alice Ann from Phoenix, Ariz. Several Springville and Maple-ton Maple-ton youths left this week to work in the Forest Service at Sand-point, Sand-point, Idaho. They are: Vernon Young, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mae-ser Mae-ser Young, Dean Warren, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Warren; Marvin Mar-vin Carnesecca, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Smith; Richard Beck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Beck; Parley LeeMaster, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. D. LeeMaster; David Da-vid Wilkerson and Clark Day. Mrs. L. M. Allred of Bell, Calif, has returned to her home after a few days visit in Springville and Provo with relatives and friends. She was the house guest of her sister, Mrs. Ethelene Case in Provo and ' spent Memorial Day here. They also attended a bridal shower for her niece, Miss LaVern Case, of Provo, formerly of Springville. Mr. and Mrs. D. Ford Crandall were among the out-of-town Memorial Day visitors in Springville, Spring-ville, stopping with Mr. Crandall's mother, Mrs. Emily Crandall. Mrs. Joe Sanders (LaRue Weight) and three children of Hermosa Beach, Calif, are visiting with Mrs. Sander's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Weight. Mr. Sanders Sand-ers returned to Calif, after spending spend-ing Memorial Day here. Mrs. Carl L. Black, the former Bonnie Bailey, is spending a. week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Bailey in Springville. Bonnie Bon-nie and her husband came from Eden, Idaho to attend the BYU graduation exercises when Mr. Black received his degree. She will be a bridesmaid, attending Dorothy Do-rothy Cranmer Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Clyde and daughter Corinne left lastv Saturday Satur-day on a vacation trip to California. Califor-nia. They will visit Grant's brother alvin and wife and family in Berkeley, Ber-keley, Calif., and with his sister and husband, Dr. and Mrs. J. L. Pace and family, at San Jose. i i j Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Towers : of Murray were in Springville Fri-, Fri-, day evening to attend the graduation gradua-tion of their nephews Marvin Carnesecca Car-nesecca and Joe Smith. They spent the week end visiting Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Carnesecca and other relatives rela-tives and returned Sunday. A group of Camera Club members mem-bers motored to National Arches Monument near Moab Saturday, spending the day looking over the ruins and mountain scenery. The trip was planned at a recent meeting meet-ing at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Hunter, where Vayne Zobell showed pictures of the territory. Taking the trip were: Mr. and Mrs. Otto Fry, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Ver-non Castleton, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Best, Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Niel-son, Niel-son, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Hunter and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Crandall. Cran-dall. They had breakfast at Green-river Green-river and enjoyed lunch on the Park. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Manwaring of this city have had as their guests recently their daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. - Albert Mills of Greenriver, Wyo., who spent Sunday at the Manwaring home. On May 27, a son Albert Sperry and wife of Salt Lake City surprised them with a visit, the occasion marking Mrs. Manwar-ing's Manwar-ing's birthday. v ' Mr. and Mrs. D. Roy Harrington and daughter Leola, accompanied by Mrs. Velma Badley of Grants Pass, Oreg., enjoyed a motor trip recently to Zions and Bryces canyons. can-yons.
