Show Brannons Invited To Reunion Honoring President Frank A. Brannon, 445 East Swenson Ave., this city, has . received re-ceived an invitation to attend the annual reunion of the 35th Division, Divi-sion, 129th F. A., in which he served in World War 1 with President Presi-dent Truman. The reunion will be in Springfield, Mo. A breakfast -on Friday, June 6, will highlight the reunion and as this function is to be in honor of the president, he has requested that the Battery D boys, of which Mr. Brannon was a member, be seated at his right. In making the request, the President stated: "This is my last appearance before be-fore the 35th Div. Assn. and my former battery as President of the United States." Mr. and Mrs. Brannon also have a personal invitation to visit President Presi-dent and Mrs. Truman at the White House and if present plans materialize, they will take the trip this fall. It was interesting to note the picture on the stationary letterhead letter-head of the invitation which was of a horse-drawn gun. The picture was taken in France during World War 1 and Mr. Brannon is riding No. 1 horse. |
