Show Gets Scholarship . . . y ; I ' C" Joe Smith Student Receives SI 00 Scholarship Joe Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Smith, and a graduate of the Springville high school senior class, was notified this week of a $100 scholarship given him by the Carrol College of Helena, Mont. The scholarship is presented to the highest ranking Catholic graduate of the class of 1952. Joe, active in athletic and music circles, served as vice-president of the senior class and president of the high school A Cappella Choir. He was also vice-president of the A band and was recently presented pre-sented with a 6-year membership pin for band activity. He has been active member of the Orpheus and the Thespian clubs. He plays 1 the acordian and the saxaphone. , He plans to work with his father fath-er in the service station during the summer and will go to school or enter the armed forces in the fall. |
